The main objective of the meeting will be to review and discuss scientific progress in the first 18 months of the project, and to ensure further collaboration and cross-fertilization across teams and tasks. While discussions will be centered around the deliverables that examine drivers and data for European sustainable FNS (pillar 1 ), other components will also be addressed. Approach: the entire meeting is in plenary to foster exchange between teams, work packages and tasks. Participation of and presentation by junior researchers is encouraged. Deliverables (and papers contributing to these) from the first 1.5 year of the project will be presented, and presenters will indicate what scientific agenda lies ahead in their WP/task team. The three pillar papers will be discussed. Data and modelling issues will be jointly discussed. Representatives of food industry companies will participate in the meeting in an advisory capacity.
